workin on 17!

Check it out! 17 weeks. Well 16 and 3 days... whatever that means... ha ha

We had such an awesome month! My parents were able to come visit us the first week of may and it was so fun to have them then Some of Jeffs Family came the last week of may! I love our big family so much! We are so lucky to have such awesome, wonderful families on both sides.
We went to the doctors yesterday and Jeff got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time :) It was so great! The docotor asked us if we wanted him to predict the baby's gender when he checked the heartbeat, ofcourse we said yes! He said he thinks we've got a girl coming and to let him know when we find out for sure so he can up his prediction average. "What's you're prediction average?" "52%" he said. So ha ha I guess we really will have to wait 4 more weeks to know if it's a girl or a boy! Oh well! I'm just so impatient! This morning as I was reading my baby updates for this week I learned that the baby can hear our voices now! So I made Jeff sing and then we let Billy Joel, Jack Johnson and Paul Simon seranade baby the rest of the morning. Yeah I know most mom's are serenading their baby with Mozart and Baby Einstein but hey I think baby liked it! Besides the heartburn I'm loving being pregnant I just wish it would go by a little faster so I can have another little best friend for life! ha ha ha BFFL?

Speaking of BFFL's my main squeeze Jeffy has an obsession. It's Golf.

He just got a new set of Clubs and he's in heaven. In fact the other day I said, "Jeff! Come look at this picture of how big our baby is now!" I hear him say, "OooOOooo!" However, I turned around to see him admiring his new golf club! ha ha ha such a stink! It was pretty funny though! Anyway, He's getting pretty good and goes at least 3-5 times a week! So awesome.

Easter Weekend

We had a very lovely Easter this year! We weren't able to go with Jeff's Family to Hawaii for Easter but we were able to go to Jackson, WY with our good friends Jaime and Ryan! They invited us to go with them to a Time Share there and it was such a blast! We went shopping downtown and ate where ever was open. Turns out we showed up just in time for "Off-Season" the season in between their Winter sports and Summer sports. It's the awkward season I guess, but hey that meant we didn't have to deal with a million other tourists!
Dinner was great! We all made a bunch of super awesome food and and a very pretty table as you can see!

OUR FIRST EASTER TOGETHER! I hope everyone had a great Easter! LOVE YOU ALL

Well, well, well...

So Winter semester has come to a close and 1 week later here I am in Rexburg again, after a wonderful visit home, to start my last Summer semester EVER. (Don't be tricked by that I still have one more semester after this but it will be in the Winter) I think it's probably not the best idea to register for classes during finals. I mean, you're in way over your head and all you can think is, I am not taking any classes next semester... Then you end up like me. Registered for 12 credits. I'm not complaining though. I have never been so excited. ha ha.

Whats been up with us? Well, Jeff wrote a 10 page research paper in one day. Research and all. I'm not sure if that earns an applause or a roll of the eyes. I think I gave him both. He also purchased a Season pass to the Golf Course here in Rexburg, then came home with a hurt foot so he can't go for a while... ironic? ha ha! Jeff also claims, "Ha! I am a genius." Which he is and May I add very humble too ;) Life with Jeff is soo entertaining! He makes me laugh constantly. I don't think we could've ended up with anyone else better. We're a pretty good match. I'd say...

Also, There's this new thing that's come up in our life recently. You see we found out that we're going to have a little addition to our family this year. I know what some of you might be thinking. "Wow, they didn't waste any time." Ha Ha... What can we say we are very competitive and wanted to have the first baby out of our "Class of 2010"(which can be defined as any of the many couples that decided to get married last year which would equal... ALMOST EVERYONE) Jeff's sister Lanae had us beat though... however, we didn't even stand a chance because they were already thinking up baby names before Jeff and I ever got the chance to compete! I hope you all know though, I'm totally kidding, This wasn't a competition for us but more of a pleasant surprise! We couldn't be happier. I look at baby names non stop and Jeff thinks off nicknames for them 1 second later. Here is an example of our conversations:
#1
Annie: " Oh hey what about the name Cooper?"
Jeff:" Cooper... Pooper."
Annie: "Nice Jeff."

#2
Annie: "There's a cute little girl in my parent's ward named Marnie. What do you think?"
Jeff:"Marnie... Barney."
Annie: "Alrighty then."

It is his favorite thing to do. When I try to suck him into looking at baby names with me he starts out by saying "This isn't fun for me." I respond by continuing with the names I think are cute. Then he makes it fun for him by thinking of the most ridiculous nick names claiming, "We can't use that one. They'd get made fun of."

I think it'll be more fun for him once you can actually tell that I'm pregnant. As you can tell there's not much to see.

Anyway, I'm really excited and Cannot wait until November! My baby is due November 15, 2011.

My Monkey book so far...

Sometimes, I get bored and I really shouldn't have time to be bored. I should be studying for my Economics test but... of course, I decided to make a monkey book in Spanish instead. ha ha ha oh dear... Here's my progress:

Title page

The monkey named Jeff

The scary monkey.

Ha ha ha I should totally be doing something that will go towards a grade or something. But sometimes I just want to do whatever I want to do... ha ha. That could sound bratty..

The lasting effect of Mean Teachers

I have an embarrassing problem. Every time I talk to my teachers I cry. No matter what.
It doesn't matter what I'm talking to them about. I cry. This happened to me today as I went to
speak with my Spanish Professor after class. I just went to him for suggestions on how to improve
my speaking and comprehension and right as the first word came out. So did the tears. I had to
explain to him I wasn't really sad it was just a reaction I had and not to be alarmed.
When I was 7 and in 2nd grade, I had a mean teacher. Her name was Mrs. Holmes and she was extremely tall, pale, had dark black hair and would threaten to put her "mean witch hat" on. (Hence the picture of The Witches by Roald Dahl) She scared me, to say the least.
Growing up I was always very shy. I didn't like talking to 99% of adults. I preferred talking with kids my own size. My mom would have to force me to come out from behind her and say hi to anyone. However, until my 2nd grade year I liked my teachers. There was Mrs. Bigler my Kindergarten year and Mrs. Smith my 1st grade year; both of them were very sweet ladies and I remember admiring them, especially Mrs. Bigler.
I don't know how many of you remember taking STAR Testing growing up but it was one of those weeks set aside to test how smart the Sego Lily Children were and my class was on the Math Section. As we opened our test Booklets Mrs. Holmes warned us , "Do not go ahead on the test. Wait until I read the question aloud. Well I was doing well as she began the questions and I started getting really excited that I knew ALL the answers. I filled in the circles as neatly as possible and got very involved in the test so involved that I could no longer hear Mrs. Holmes reading them aloud. I just kept going! I was all alone in my own little 2nd grade STAR Testing Math World when all of the sudden, BAM, a fist Slammed down in front of my face. My eyes opened wide and off went the Mean Witch Holmes. Screaming about how I had disobeyed and ignored her instructions. These were true accusations; but I think with her extreme reaction she had confused me, a small, shy, 7 year old girl with an inmate. Thankfully, my mom walked by my classroom right at that same time Mrs. Holmes was taking out her anger on me. My mom walked in and took me from the classroom.
While it was awesome that my mom came just in time to save me from the crazy lady. The damage had already been done. From that moment on, teachers frightened me and anytime I had one on one talks with them, I would cry and I still do. It's completely embarrassing.
I'm not sure why I felt like confessing this to everyone but I did. It is kind of funny haha. Anyway, If you're a teacher. Take it easy on your students. Or they'll end up like me, A college student in a Spanish Class crying en Espanol to Senor Alba. Ay yai yai
